Closed for the Season

A recent visit to the city's little campground where everything is packed up for the winter.

What a whirlwind of activity in this little park.  The animal tracks, ski trails and the odd spot of yellow snow made for a fantastic afternoon.  Started out with big huge fluffy snowflakes and ended with the bright afternoon sun warming my face and hands.

The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree

Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I rued.

  1. An incredible compilation of your work. You have a true talent and eye to capture moments in time. As I look at the pictures of Beavermeade, I can hear the children's laughter at the beach, hear the campfire crackling and see the families sitting at the picnic tables having summertime picnics. WOW.

    1. Why thank you my dear Lassie! What a lovely first comment. My plan is to try to get out at least once a week, if not more and then post what I get. Hopefully will keep my out there and practicing!!
